Broke, with nothing but her cat to her name and doors closing in her face, Paula is back in Paris after a long absence. As she meets different people along the way, there is one thing she knows for sure: she's determined to make a new start and she'll do it with style and panache. (festival-cannes.com)

Dosch is phenomenal. Feels like a lighter, more chaotic French cousin to last year's Daphne, another tale of a distressed young redhead trying to make sense of herself and the world.

Refreshing, spirited farce about one young woman who refuses to conform to typical human behaviour, instead stumbling through Parisian life in her own chaotic way. Laetitia Dosch does a great job of bringing to life a character we haven't really seen before on the silver screen, and carrying the entire movie. Some scenes are very funny, some lightly amusing or annoying, but there is an inevitability to the character's ultimate downfall and bounce back which is maybe the writer's only misstep.

It's not clear whether we're meant to see Paula's actions as endearing spontaneity, or brought on by mental health issues, and the film doesn't seem to know the answer to that either
