So basically Loach's last effort was about building and finding halls and letting people dance and learn in them. Not too shabby of an exit, I'd say...

Felt like a TV movie at times; but that's OK as long as I feel Loach's warm and full-of-life humanism as well.

A real gem.

Decent socio-political flick from Loach, better than some of his other recent films, not as good as some of his older ones. Does feel a bit like it's going through the motions, but by the time it came to its freeze-frame ending, I really hoped this wouldn't be the last we'd see from this British filmmaker.

No, I tried but I couldn't relate. Emotionally there just isn't enough chemistry or connection between the characters to feel for/with them. It appeared off. And I have no attachements to the Irish history, so I'd rank it 35/100.

A very accessible Ken Loach film, with a feel good vibe along with a strong message of community. It may lack the punch of his earlier films but thoroughly enjoyable.

pretty little movie, third act/end could be more impressive...
