The last of the Joe Palooka movies before Joe Kirkwood Jr. took his Palooka character to TV for one season in 1954. Hadn't exactly been a great series of comedy/boxing films to begin with. The production was always a little too loose for it's own good, and Kirkwood wasn't exactly showing much personality outside the boxing ring. Thankfully, this last one is not the worst of the bunch. James Gleason as the manager made sure there was enough laughs to justify the send-off.
