Tries to present itself as a sci-fi flick with an original device of two people inhabiting one body, even stated like that, it's not really that original. With only a few lines of dialog removed, this movie becomes a psychological drama about a guy with multiple personalities. Even appraised as is, this one is only mildly interesting.

Very original/intriguing story line. Elgort carries this film almost by himself and does a superb job of it. The denouement left me a little cold thought.

I watched this because I love Patricia Clarkson and like Ansel Elgort. If watching these two do what they can with stupid material is enough for you, give it a try. Granted, I lack whatever gene is required to appreciate sci-fi/fantasy stuff, but this just wasn't that interesting. Patrician Clarkson was giving no opportunity to show what she can really do. Elgort did his game best with precious little.

I understand how some people may find this film annoying and stupid. And honestly, it is. It's not sci-fi as much as it is fantasy. The premise is absurd and you really have to stretch your imagination to enjoy this one. If you're able to do that, it's a decent film worth watching. Update: the second time I watched this (on accident) I found it mostly intolerable.

When I watched the trailer this movie seemed really interesting. A modern updated version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is what was expected. What we got was a fine showcase from Elgort with zero substance surrounding that in order to propel the narrative forward. It was contrived and limited to Jonathan's perspective when Jon was the more interesting character. It was a misfire to not try and reel us in for the ending by splitting the perspective 50/50 throughout. A missed opportunity.

This movie revolved around an idiots idea of how a split personality disorder could manifest. The writing hinges on the premise that a man lives two completely separate lives and communicates with himself twice daily by video. Instead of being entertaining and fanciful it comes off as absurd and ridiculous. It stretches the bounds of credibility to the point of lunacy. For me, it was incredibly boring and not particularly amusing or satisfying, so barely worth watching.
