The event at the center of the story is handled terribly and Middleditch doesn't have the gravitas to pull it off. Often intentionally pointless - introducing characters who end up doing nothing. Maybe that evokes real life, but most of real life is boring and not worth a film. Kroll and Slate are the best of the cast; Perry and Gelman are particularly one-note and Middleditch is basically absent.

Joshy strings together both genuinely funny and sincere moments in what we've come to expect from a film starring Middleditch. Unfortunately, the plot is weak and the narrative loose, resulting in a weak film all round that doesn't really deliver on its themes of catharsis nor of things left unsaid.

I enjoyed this more than almost all of Baena movies. It surely is scatterbrained and doesn't have a direction, but the lovely ensemble indie cast carries the affair.

Thomas "Dry" Middleditch has never shed a tear in his life.

I thought I was in for another boring mumble core movie, but, boy, was I half right. Mumble corey, but not boring and some sincerely funny moments keep this from being another boring pointless entry.
