Dear Disney, In lieu of recent creative trends within your studio, I would suggest a change in your logo as well, reflecting your updated image. The new logo should feature Walt, in silhouette, hoisting up a famous person from history (Kipling, Verne, Hugo, etc) while simultaneously kicking that person in the jimmies and jovially pulling cash from their throats. I have created a series of storyboards to better depict this. Please let me know if you are interested. Thank you for your time, Spleen

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is better than the film that preceded it and jump-started this new franchise. It hasn't been significantly improved, but adding in a larger number and more interesting characters, as well as improving the CGI, definitely worked in its favor. If it only could have made the characters and their relationships with each other worth watching, we might have ourselves a worthwhile movie. As it is, it'll entertain 12-year-olds and nobody else.

The rock's nipples was all I could think about through the whole movie! I'm a male and i'm not gay:) you have to see it to understand ;) A 6 year old could write the story for this movie and the only reason why I don't rate it lower is because of some decent special effects and some funny moments! A waste of time really !

This isn't half bad children's fare. It is over the top in the pushing of 3D, but everyone is likable enough and the Rock is always charming.

1. I saw this. Shut up. It was free. 2. You know what, this wasn't that bad. It's absolutely by all means children's fare and it certainly isn't groundbreaking, but the Rock (is it okay to call him that?) is genuinely charming here and the comic relief actually has some good bits. As far as movies with scenes featuring people flying on giant bees to inspirational music goes, this was actually alright! Don't go out of your way to see it, but if you get dragged, don't worry. Score is not a grade.

Not bad at all, actually quite enjoyable most of the time. Unfortunately, just too many flaws (in every department) to deserve a 'pass'.

The slow motion special effects were pretty cheesy, but I like Dwayne Johnson.

“They will not stop until you feed them." I'm pretty sure that Peyton's instructions to Caine were, "We want you to cosplay as Richard Attenborough from 'Jurassic Park. We need you to be John Hammond."

Kind of pointless sequel. What happened to Brendan Fraser's character? IRL he got blacklisted. The Rock is in a much better version of this called Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Michael Caine is annoying here. Vanessa Hudgens must be wearing a ton of tape with that outfit. Luis Guzman is being his usual character. Action sequences were too long in the first half and dragged the thin plot down. The Rock actually sang. Fav scene: miniature elephants.

The adults are amusing enough, the kids are annoying, though at least the film understands that. It's all quite preposterous and not very fun, but not exactly bad.

He uses the quick smile on his future stepson, Sean (Josh Hutcherson) returning to this Jules Verne, which began with 2008's Journey to the Center of the Earth) but to no avail. The boy dislikes Hank even though he seems to make mom (Kirstin Davis) happy and is kind and decent. The movie's largest emotional concern is creating a bond between the recalcitrant, Verne-obsessed teen and the man obsessed with being a good father figure to Sean.

Bad story, bad acting and even worse visual effects. There isn't much good in this movie except for The Rock.

I thought this was a really fun film. I had not seen the first Journey movie but I felt like I didn't need to for the sequel. The cast was pretty good with Hutcherson from the Hunger Games with Vanessa Hudgens (who's looking really great by the way), Luis Guzman, Dwayne Johnson and Michael Caine. The areas were lush and beautiful. I loved that the large creatures were small and small were large. I had some problems with some lines and animation but it was still a really fun ride.

Sometimes I can watch a poor movie when I am in a lighthearted mood with some young cousins. I would not watch this movie with serious adults or on my own whim. It was entertaining enough in the situation I watched it -one in which I didn't choose the movie.

Slightly better than I expected. Nice family adventure movie. Also, anything that even refers to Jules Verne in this day and age I'm impressed by. Both of these movies are based on his stories

Bright, lively, studiedly inoffensive kiddie fare. My two kids thought it was the most awesome thing ever; I sort of watched it passively and chuckled occasionally. It's never gonna win any Oscars, but it's innocent and eager to please and there's much, much worse kids' stuff out there.

The adults in the audience chuckled, but that little moment drove the real charm of this pic home to me. This is the kind of movie that will draw in its audience with an exciting ride and a heartwarming message while making sure that even the youngest in the family feels safe and secure. And if you ask me, that's pretty "OK" indeed. (pluggedin.com)

The dynamic between Hutcherson and the Rock was annoying for the first hour of the movie and completely took me out of the movie......Hudgens was nice to look at though.

Flying on bees, escaping from monster birds, iguanas and ants, then exit the island in Nemo's submarine. This movie just keeps throwing ever increasing ridiculousness at you until the end. However, despite being crazy silly, the animation was well done and the acting is good but there are far too many roll your eyes moments. Made for kids. Super cheesy story and script.

My wife wanted to watch "The Rock and the Giant Lizard". Thankfully that described the poster perfectly, so I was able to track it down easily. A fun family adventure which boarded into the silly more than necessary, but that worked well for the younger in the family. We had a good time with Journey 2.

Is pretty silly, but in a cute and fun way. Most of the time anyway. Maybe because the performances were pretty cool, I don't know... Animations were kinda impressive, too. Fun adventure movie for kids.

Better than its awful predecessor (despite a more annoying Sean-now an arrogant and angsty teen), thanks mostly to superior visuals (the slow-motion was a nice touch; see the helicopter crash), but also a script that actually builds some suspense (see the devastating cliff collapse) and hints at decent character work (see Alexander's brief moment at the campfire) amidst its still rushed adventure plot (they get to the island very quickly) with poor dialogue and failed attempts at humour.

Everyone that said this film is better than Fraser's Journey to the Center of the Earth should stop reviewing films. Period.
