Sequel to "Ju-on" (2000). Much of this sequel is a recap of the first film, nearly 30 minutes of retelling out of 76 minutes. Also the rest of the movie introduces new information on those events, and new characters, as well as briefly introducing events which would play into the two theatrical films.

It's less polished, grittier, and more intense. Much better than the first one.

Overrated. It's not very scary, and the subtitles only add to the social awkwardness of seeing this in an envvironment where it was not intended (the US). Honestly, I've been more scared by 'The New Leave it to Beaver.'

Disjointed hodgepodge of unexplained crap tied together by a creepy looking kid that will have you checking under your bed every night for the rest of your life.

This Movie shocked me really. I love the Asian stuff especially that sequel. Some really good moments.

Still scary, but quite absurd in many parts...

The franchise immediately turns to trash. Don't bother with this or the subsequent films.

Ju-on: The Curse 2 is like DLC for the first made-for-TV Ju-on movie. Not really a full movie on its own, with almost half of its runtime consisting of nothing more than recapping the first Ju-on: The Curse like the world's longest "previously on..." Luckily, there's a combo edit out there that combines both of The Curse movies into one roughly 2-hour experience. That is without a doubt the superior way to watch the two made-for-TV Ju-on movies, but still don't go in expecting too much.
