Aw she just loves her dad ... oh wait oh no OH NO she REALLY loves her dad. The mom is murdered by a rapist who side gigs as a grocer and the Dad has Sybil Danning on the phone that very night. Sybil was very attractive in the 80s. All aboard the sleaze train.

Sort of mediocre and predictable, but the ending makes the movie worth watching.

This is one of those weird exploitation movies that actually strikes a pretty good balance between genuinely compelling & over-the-top campy. Isabelle Mejias is really good here, & it's a shame she didn't go on to do much of anything else. Sybil Danning is surprisingly solid as a sweet suburban mom. There are a few very effective scenes, like the chess game & Julie's mom's (brutal) death early on, but the lack of any real protagonist (Julie is downright evil, if sympathetic) hurts it.
