Disliked it intensely. The dialog was stilted and unnatural, and the characters were annoying. Jason Bateman's character was made out to be a horrible bastard because he wanted to pursue his dream. Let's hope Diablo Cody goes back to stripping for hipster cred.

There was a good movie here with great characters and humor but the twee aesthetic is getting pretty cliched and was wholly unnecessary. Featured the most "look at me" soundtrack since Garden State. Also drops cute teenage love on you with a character only shown about twice before the end of the movie. Basically, this movie could have been pretty cool if it didn't try to be so cool.

So dry, so funny, and very sweet. The dialogue is something to behold: brilliantly written and perfectly delivered by Ellen Page, et al. It's pretty much this year's Little Miss Sunshine, so if you hated that, look elsewhere.

Precious Juno is wise beyond her years. Clearly the writers worked overtime to provide her the wittiest jokes and most telling observations. Not at all believable that she is, at 16, as world-knowledgeable as Juno. And no 16-year old girl, without influence of parents or grandparents, is going to be touting the virtues of Mott the Hoople and their song "All the Young Dudes."

I often wondered what would've happened if little Joey Potter from Dawson's Creek - (now Mrs. Tom Cruise) - had've gotten knocked-up. Now we know. Neither the plot nor language are relatable to the experiences of most teenage girls who find themselves, "in the family way", but it's Hollywood: nothing has to be real. All that said, Ellen Page is stellar and (most importantly) believeable in her performance, and Jason Bateman is working again. Gotta dig that.

This movie could've easily gotten lost in its own hipness (i.e. references to the lit mag McSWEENEY'S), but it avoided the "hipsters are cool, squares are bad" mentality. All the main characters, hip or otherwise, are well-developed. The actors' timing and delivery are near-perfect. Best of all, the story felt very, very honest. Definitely a few notches closer to real life (based on what I've seen in real life) than the usual teen-pregnancy films that get made.

There is nothing to hate about this movie, one of the simply greatest comedies of recent years. Ellen Page's indelible portrayal of Juno remains one of her finest moments (just behind for "Hard Candy"), and Olivia Thirlby and Michael Cera embody today's teenage generation perfectly. Diablo Cody's script is impeccable with it's colloquial quips.

It's just nice to see a teenage pregnancy not turn into a Lifetime Channel Original Movie. Sure, things in this movie are exaggerated, but it's in a lighthearted, fun way. It messes with some stereotypes, and has a much more pleasant depiction of teenagers than most movies. I really appreciate that. These kids are generally smart and witty which teens seldom get credit for.

This movie caused an unhealthy obsession/crush in Ellen Page when I was in high school. An obsession that smacked me in the face when I learned she was gay and I would never be able show her my body in tube socks and yellow running shorts. Great movie though, dialogue is sharp and the cinematography is strong enough it tells the story on its own sometimes. If you're an insecure high schooler, inexperienced sexually and you want to crush over someone who's not a barbie doll, Ellen Page is it.

Kickin' soundtrack, Michael Cera is perfectly typecast and Ellen Page has really evolved as an actress from Hard Candy, which was a great movie too. The only thing is that she's scripted as the 16 year old you wish you were or knew, because no 16 year is that cool or witty. So it's a bit of a fantasy, but a good one nonetheless.

Unforgiveably forgettable, manipulative, simplistic, moralistic and sloppily scripted "feel-good" yawn-fest, JUNO's acting might as well have been telephoned in for all its effect. As a low-budget film to cut a writer's and actors' teeth on it's barely passable - so it's hard to believe it was nominated (and won!) an Oscar. Those wanting their fix of "pregnant teen in a pickle" should take a gander at the far superior comedy: SAVED! (2004)

Practically perfect casting across the board. The dialogue is very funny and witty in some places, and very awkwardly stilted in others. The distinctive soundtrack touched something in me, although I'm not sure how much is cringe for the sappy teen I once was and how much is unironic appreciation.

A film that tries oddly hard to be cute; the passively childish twee hipster melodies linked with a pseudo-witty naive teenage lingo-plagued script didn't assist in it's likability. It undermined the seriousness of the human condition we call pregnancy; and presented it like it's a game of "Who-wants-my-baby?", which I guarantee convinced little girls out there that it's OK to get knocked up, because it will all work out. If your a condescending delusional teenage girl, well, you get the idea.

The problem with Juno is that it's so awesome on first view (for me anyway), that you're driven to watch it again. And again. And after five times, for me, my opinion of it lessened. Irregardless of this, one of the best movies of the 2000's and fourth best of '07.

I put this film on early one morning after work and the fact I had to stay awake and watch it in one sitting is testament to it's quality. The 'quirky' (you'll hear that word a lot in relation to this film) tale of the pregnant teenage Juno (played exquisitely by Ellen Page) is poignant in the way that the trials are reflected by everyone but our heroine herself. Whilst others stress, worry and fuss our Juno remains aloof and unchanged throughout. This makes it a story of dignity above all.

Say what you want about the obnoxious hipster-like name-dropping, this movie is sweet as hell. I like the character Juno a lot, even if she does have her little bratty teenage outbursts and whatnot. It only adds to the realism, which to me is not contrived at all, as many tend to claim. If you're not into tenderness or suburban teenage love stories, you'll hate this movie. I tend to dislike love stories in general, but Juno was just really nice. Michael Cera rules also.

One of the most overrated films ever, if not the absolute most of all-time. The dialogue is a mixture of watered down Kevin Smith and what MTV thinks that teenagers sound like. The characters are downright irritating for the most part (the exceptions are Juno's parents and Jason Bateman's character). I am all for indie screenwriters and Diablo Cody does decent for her first screenplay but there is no way that this should've received all the garner that it did.

An excellent smart quirky comedy that still finds a way to creep into the tender side of your heart... Ellen Page rocks this poignant film about a teenage pregnancy from writer Diablo Cody. Page brings the cocky and smart Juno to life in a way I don't feel any other actress could have done. Oscar cheers to Page for making Juno one of the best films of 2007.
