Ok, this is the entire movie, "Ahhh! A dinosaur!" run, run, run. "Ah! A dinosaur!" run, run, run. "You did what?" "Ahhhh! A dinosaur!" run, run, run. "Oh no! Raptors!" "Hey look, the military! Cool." THE END

Moral: White people shouldn't go hang gliding in restricted waters, or velociraptors will talk to you in your dreams and you'll have to hire Sam Neill for, I dunno, something related to finding your kid who stays inexplicably alive while your party has a darned hard time with doing the same.

In which not even dinosaurs are enough to disrupt the holy American nuclear family. At least I think that's what happens, the whole thing is so dark and drab that I honestly can't be sure what's going on.

The visual effects even seem to fall underneath the first Jurassic Park, but you cut off Steven Spielberg and you cut off any chance this film had. It's basically dino-droppings left over from "The Lost World." The story ridiculous, the dialogue atrocious, the characters worthless, and the dinosaurs all-too repititious.

I love dinosaurs as much as the next dude, but this movie is mostly just dull, cartoony nonsense. Lacks a single moment that even hints at the power of the iconic T-Rex attacks from the original film. The entertaining moments are pretty much all thanks to Sam Neill, not dinosaurs. It’s the shortest film of the series and feels like the longest. It's probably better if we just forget it was ever made.

The plot-device to get Grant and company to the island is threadbare and hokey. Casting Michael Jeter as a mercenary with heavy weaponry is farcical. And, someone, please tell me how Téa Leoni gets cast in anything. Director Joe Johnston is simply not Steven Spielberg, who only served as Executive Producer on this outing. In its favor, the running time is mercifully short.

JP3 is far more absurd than even the second Jurassic Park, and that's no simple feat. Part of what made the first one so great was that the dinosaurs were so realistic, and the animatronics were amazing. In this outing, there is far more CG, and the dinosaurs are far more made up feeling. It doesn't help that gazillion year old Sam Neill reprises his role as the not so action ready Alan Grant. Crap!

Even worse than the second one. Joe Johnston makes sure that was little story is in this movie gets quickly brushed aside for tons and tons of action. Any credibility the Jurassic Park series once had has been completely removed.

It's a bad movie, but it wouldn't be regarded as inexcusably awful were it not a sequel to two much better movie. ...OK, so one much better movie, one modestly better movie, but anyway. It's got a slapped-together plot made up of sequences from the books that didn't make the cut in the first two. Basically they're scraping the bottom of the barrel to milk more money from this franchise, but it was two hours of dinosaurs running around causing havoc, and I can't hate that. Also, Alex Payne, WTF?!

Good premise, terrible execution. Dr. Grant seemed so genuinely terrified at the thought of landing on Isla Sorna that I couldn't help but share in his apprehension. But instead of a nail-biting survival story with characters being picked off one-by-one by packs of pissed off raptors, we got "National Lampoon's Dino-Island Vacation." Sorry, but characters who loudly bicker while stumbling through T-Rex country should be dinner. Otherwise, there's no sense of urgency.

Don't get me wrong, this movie was poor; yet it was better than The Lost World. This movie has redeeming qualities in terms of its premise and association with the first film, as well as Sam Neill and the CGI. Otherwise, this plot is poor, the cast is awful and their acting is even worse. This movie has it's higher points, but they are few and far between. Poor, but not the weakest link.

I think Jurassic Park III is a slight improvement over The Lost World. A very slight improvement. All characters are slimmed down to allow for more of a horror vibe than an adventure one and this drops the pretext of being about anything another than giant monsters.

Really didn’t think it was as bad as it was made out to be. Of course, they had to come up with another dumb reason to go back. They upped the action in this one, but none of it reaches the ‘heights’ of the cliff scene in lost world.

I have a dislike for movies that are sequels to movies based on books when there was no book written for the sequel. A bit particular, but anyway. This film was horrid. Even as much as II strayed from the book, this film just makes it all suck even worse. Terrible science, terrible plot. Worst of all was the open ending which left the possibility for another sequel. I'm still hoping it doesn't ever happen.

"No force on earth will get me to return to that Island!" says Dr. Grant. "Here's an oversized novelty cheque for a million bucks!" say the other people. "LET'S GET MOVING" says Grant. Then, the ending - if they're so worried about these dinosaurs getting loose again, why are they placidly watching pterodactyls fly alongside the helicopter? Is this suddenly no longer a concern? Pterodactyls are still dangerous, people!!

An unabashed adventure film, for those who wanted more of that and less of the overall nastiness of Lost World. This is a film more about the childhood fantasy of encountering dinosaurs, embodied by Alan Grant and his younger protege, and less the reality. A decent film besides, Johnston/Payne's reshaping of the raptors from mean spirited monsters to something more sophisticated (hint hint JP4) is really creditable. This film was fun at the time and the FX hold up better than both of the others.
