Just a Gigolo

Not as bad as people say, it has strange almost dream-like absurd parts where you can guess it was meant to show some alienation with the post WW1 society. But I guess it did suffer from not getting involved enough. It wasn't so much superficial, but more like maybe too subtle at times for certain audiences. It takes time before any gigolo-ing happens so that would also be a pain to folks only expecting the experience as the main focus rather than everything else leading to it
