The film trucks out his litany of humiliations and degradations that Justine is subjected to, and depicts them quite literally, somewhat oblivious to the fact that it's not really intended as a realistic novel. There's something shockingly banal about throwing all this nudity and humiliation at the audience completely artlessly as if it were the most ordinary series of events.
