Kairat

This film tells the story of a young guy new to the big city and various short episodes in his life. It has a surreal quality with the editing style, as well as the fact that everything looks and feels like it's from the 1960s transported to the 1990s. It's not always great, and sometimes the disconnect between the scenes makes it feel slight, but it has a unique charm to the whole thing I very much liked.

it really gets across the feeling of boredom and staleness in its protagonist.
