Kajaki is a simple enough tale of a day in the life of British troops stationed in Afghanistan that goes from bad to worse, and is gripping, tense, harrowing and superbly well made. As a film, I am not sure the "plot" or content is really strong enough to fill its running time, but as a tribute to those who join the army, and are expected to perform in mind bogglingly awful situations, this is as good a "documentary" as you could wish for. "Grittily real", it is ... "entertaining", it isn't !!

A bit long but no less tense and gut-wrenching to watch.

Superbly made - very difficult to watch at times. This movie serves as a reminder to get yourself tested for morphine immunity before joining the military.

The plot is not the point of this film. It's simply a snapshot of the dangers that these men and women face, even if they are not at the forefront of battle. A great tribute film to returning and injured servicemen and women, it is far too real and confronting, not just in their relationships but in the depiction of the dilemma they find themselves in.

Can't believe how high this movie rated, overrated to say the least.

Quickly paced and obviously gritty, but nothing more than that a suspense trope. Its entertaining but there isn't much beyond that.
