That's more like it! This special follows nicely from the show's ending, building on plot, theme, and character, resolving some open tensions and building momentum for the other chapters. It's not as good as the show's best moments, there's weird masculinity stuff that never gets fully examined, and this interpretation of Taiga and Nico's relationship is way different (and more romantic) than mine. But it does the most important thing: embracing change and showing how the characters have grown.
