Taxi driver Ahmet, who is about to get engaged to the young girl his mother pushes for, starts a passionate affair with the tailor Leyla, who is his elder. While Ahmet's love for Leyla and Leyla's wish to confront her past by being engaging with a younger man drag the relationship to marriage, Leyla's old flame Semih returns to Istanbul from Germany for the first time in 18 years, to bid farewell to his sick mother.
