Kayako no tameni

Strongly praised (mostly) in reviews on Letterbox'd but simply didn't work for me. Glacially slow esp in incomprehensible opening I found acting very stolid as was tale, perhaps one for arthouse viewers considering those strong reviews. Well shot using Hokkaido winter well in lowering the tone. Supposedly a reflection on the (very real) antipathy between native Japanese & Koreans (incl those born in Japan who'd be validly regarded by outsiders as "Japanese"). Brief natural female nudity
