Kaze to ki no uta

This anime has gorgeous animation and a great soundtrack but it also features two of the things I dislike most in shounen-ai/yaoi stories, the first in the cliche where not just the main character(s) are gay but every single person in the entire show is as well and second that one of the main characters is sadistic and the other is madly in love with him/her regardless of how they're treated. Double ambivalences of teenage boys: attraction towards and repulsion against adult realm of sexuality and sluts, and in relation to the ambivalences, a slut living deep in the inseparability of shame and pleasure, as an advantage taker, a pharmakos, and for a boy willing to give care and control, his sexual initiator. Tragically, here she's brought up into her existential situation and has it taken advantage of by an absolute power taker, and is therefore unavoidably pushed into suicide.
