This fairly middling crime melodrama is interesting for a few reasons. O'Brien, working in England due to his Hollywood career having cooled off considerably in the 50's, really does a wonderful job anchoring this film. His main support are future James Bond regulars Lois Maxwell and Robert Brown playing co-workers who help him clear his name. Finally, the director is Terence Fisher, who made this the same year that he kicked off his string of Hammer horror classics.
