Kill Zombie!

not a bad little zombie film but it goes on for too long and starts loosing steam at about the halfway point and really drags towards the end, which has a slight twist ending that promises a sequel.

This Dutch zombie horror comedy seems to be trying (way too hard) to be a filmic version of Dead Rising or Dead Island. It succeeds, however, at being terminally unfunny.

The film has a "Shaun of the Dead" vibe. The film's wildness is also its undoing, because it starts to grow tiresome. Saying that with some script revisions, the film could have been great is actually high praise for a random Netflix horror film (among the bevy of terrible, terrible random Netflix horror films).

Top badass moment? Business start-up capital is hard to come by these days, so I was pleased to see one of our heroes robbing a bank specifically for this purpose. Thinking strategically about your future when all around are trying to eat you is badass. Remember, all apocalypses end and are highly likely to be followed by a range of exciting opportunities that await the imaginative entrepreneur. 5* decapitations, no cats or chainsaws. (*The minigun made it hard to count, so there could be more.)
