Killer Workout

A wonderful watch that rivals the best that we've streamed for virtual garbage time (we're well over 100 films at this point). Archeologian is correct in their review, it all adds up to massive amusement. In a film extremely focused on the female form they still manage to pull off a jaw dropping chest flash that will forever live in infamy. There's also a phone out in the middle of the yard at one of the employee's houses. The amount of "lawn distance phone call" jokes we made was astronomical.

Three parts soft-porn, two parts low-budget 80s action, one part slasher, yet it's solder as a horror film

David Prior films aren't always good or even competent but like this film, they are always entertaining to one degree or another.

The formula is absolutely perfected.

Manages the impressive feat of ALMOST being too stupid for even a so bad it’s good slasher flick, but the high energy level, nonstop 80s music, hot chicks and workout montages make it watchable. But it is almost mind blowingly stupid EVEN BY SLASHER STANDARDS lol.

Shameless, gratuitous, & so nonsensical at times that it almost feels like self-parody, this late 80's slasher should be fascinatingly stupid given the premise- unfortunately, it's really just kinda boring. There's no clear protagonist, the narrative lacks any real direction, & each ridiculous twist falls even flatter than the last. Gratuitous nudity plus at least 10 minutes of cleavage & butt shots do not a decent horror movie make. At under 90 minutes, it's still a drag, & is skippable.

Slasher taking place in a gym / fitness studio which is as ridiculous as it sounds. The regulars keep on attending the classes regardless of the rising body count. It's so gratuous that it pretty much sums up the term male gaze as the film finds ways to milk the aerobic workouts for the pleasure of the viewer. It starts to get repetitive and feels longer than it’s 80 mins runtime, but it’s still worth a watch for slasher aficionados and those interested in 80’s excess.
