An urban tale that plays like a story about the lost of innocence. This young father has just got married, but he's too poor to provide to his family. He's studying to be a cop. But the best way to make some easy money is with this gang of gruesome men. In his first night with them, he sees a lady being dismembered right in front of his eyes. Mendoza barely illuminates the scenes, because this is a place where these things can't be seen by all. They happen in dark, hidden spaces.

Ebert said it best, naming this the worst film in the history of Cannes. A pointless piece of cinematic garbage.
