Kindred

Mash-up of ROSEMARY'S BABY and GASLIGHT (with GET OUT sensibilities) is far too derivative to be remotely suspenseful; the writing would have to have been watertight to combat this problem and unfortunately it's hopelessly contrived from the get-go (there's no reason our intelligent and capable protagonist gets trapped the way she does except for sloppy and inconsistent writing). Ambiguous and intriguing finale is the best thing about this, but the poor writing still makes it unsatisfying.

Pretty tired of every movie where there's a loud scream or a drop of blood being tagged as "horror". This movie is not horror, by any measure. It's a thriller with drama/suspense.

Essentially a remake of Rosemary's Baby with more plotholes.
