Incredibly touching for such a short film. The superficial adorableness giving way to the beauty (and horror) of the ending is done fantastically. For those of you that didn't notice, he killed himself in order to achieve his dream.

It was all good and enjoyable. I'm confused by the whole 'touching' thing I've seen in some of the comments. Sure he died to achieve his dream. Wow, big deal for an animated kiwi I have next to no connection to. You know what was touching, when Oscar Schindler saved a bunch of Jews and then broke down because he felt he could have saved more of them.

Has the bird considered, like, not killing itself to get what it wanted? Surely all that time and effort from propping all those trees up could've been spent crafting prosthetic wings instead. Now that would've been a great story. Fucking idiot bird.
