When a director films, or 'takes' a shot, each is identified by having a 'slate' or 'clapperboard' with the information regarding the shot written in - what shot number it is and which take it is. What Kieslowski has done her is a little experiment of recovering the clappers and splicing them into a short film. They are all taken from his film The Scar (Blizna). Its sort or magic/anti-magic. İstanbul Modern: Fena olmayan bir fikir, başlangıçta eğlenceli de sayılabilir ama 6 dakika için bile tek düze.

The most engaging elements of this film are a comic scene when the slate scares a dog, causing it to leave the shot completely, and the numerous occurrences when Kieslowski strings together two or three shots of the same actor doing the same lines to open a scene. This unmasking of the filmmaking process, of underlining the fiction in feature films, is very effective in a light and comedic way.
