A TV show, adapted to the big screen, needs to be bigger, longer and uncut and of course have a story line that can last for more than 20-40 minutes. South Park did this and so does Klovn... The awkwardeness just wont stop! Pulling in the elite of danish culture is somewhat a scoop and says all about the popularity of Klovn. Where Frank steals the TV show, Casper is definately the star of the movie. We all want more even though it is hard to imagine how the guys can come back after that ending!

Casper Christensen is hilarious beyond imagination. Great that the tv concept is so well adapted to the movie screen.

A mash-up between Mr. Bean and gross-out isn't usually something to endorse, but the Danish viewer has to respect (and enjoy) the fact that the actor's are so insistent on playing the most douche versions of themselves possible. In a country such as Denmark, overrun with a new purist wave, one might even go as far as to calling this film important, but even for those who are less philosophically minded, there's still tons of toe-cringing fun to be had.

Anyone who thinks Danes can't do comedy should look elsewhere to have these beliefs challenged. What an awful film

Okay, I haven't watched the tv series... Okay, my idea of comedy isn't coarseness and sexual explicitness... Okay, "Danish humour" often, if possible, annoys me more than Iben Hjejle. Even keeping these facts in mind, I wasn't prepared for how unfunny this was. The script doesn't contain a single good joke. Not one. If the material wasn't so incredibly weak I'd probably have found Frank Hvam (character/actor - whichever) amusing... I might try the tv series instead, after all. Maybe I better not

I genuinely haven't laughed this hard - or been this disgusted - since 'Borat'. 90 minutes of 'Noooo, they didn't just do that, did they?!" wrapped up in a nice, almost touching coming of age-story.

I have never laughed harder at a movie in my life.

There's a wealth of great material here but the protagonist acts at key junctures completely antithetically to who we're told he is. Cringe comedy is a house of cards; Klovn collapses in its attempt to be the biggest yet.

some hilarious dialogue.. mad quotable, especially the friend Casper ("Tour de Pussy"); funny story.. as soon as they get past one awkward faux pas they commit an even worse one; felt like I was missing some cultural stuff ( do all Danes speak in formal robot-whispers, or just these people?); cool music

This features two of my favorite things in movies: comedy and male nudity. Well, maybe only one of those things is something I like. I'll let you guess which.

I'd never heard of the tv show before I watched this. But now I'm determined to seek them out and watch every.single.episode. Imagine The Hangover, except its actually funny, with the awkward humour of Curb Your Enthusiasm, and you have Klown, the best of both worlds

You won't want to laugh, but you will anyway. Level of shame is dependent on your age, experience, and self-comfortability with your soul. Single adult babysits a young roly-poly boy named Bo and attempts to prove to his girlfriend he's capable of being a good father. You will be surprised by the rest of the plot, and probably ashamed to laugh heartily which is inevitable. Only bad thing about this movie is the captions, they should dub it for english, then make a US version.

And now for something completely different. I have to give credit to these guys, they are absolutely committed to their work and have no shame at all. Borat pales in comparison.

Starts off quite awfully but gets better and better towards the end, ending as quite decent. Horrible shooting though.

Stand-alone film sequel for Danish tv series Klovn which takes the awkward humor of the series to another level. That's not necessarily just a good thing as I felt some of the unexpected warmth of the tv series was lost. I also hoped for more Mia and Iben as they provide necessary contrast to Frank/Casper. My small nitpicks aside, this is one of the best comedies in recent years and a must see!

If you will only watch one comedy about a group of self-centered assholes mishandling a kid, forget The Hangover and go for Klovn.

Not nearly as good as the tv show but still...if you are a fan of the show you will be entertained...if you have seen the show you will be like wtf?

I'm not entirely sure what I watched; or rather I'm dubious as to why it is comedy. Klown is like Jackass (or more specifically Bad Gramdpa) without the slapstick meets Harold & Kumar (if we're viewing it through established American-centric franchises). If the British find cringe through awkwardness, the Danes find it through obscenity. There are amusing moments, but the plot and character seem to revolve around assholery that becomes unjustifiable the moment you think about it.
