Knights of the Range

Russell Hayden was popular as Lucky, the young and likable sidekick in Hopalong Cassidy, so he got a few shots as lead in other westerns to test the waters to see if he could be a bankable star on his own. But as this film would indicate, he was a little too lightweight to carry a picture on his own. Not that he did a poor job. They even surround him with a solid cast, so it's a B-western with some ambition, even if they couldn't make this Zane Grey story stand-out among the bunch.
