Koko dai panikku

Has a bit of the Toei/nikkatsu production line about it, with a bit of Wakamatsu (Go, Go... or Violated Angels). What stands out is the adherence to realistic details throughout the whole situation, and it possesses the urgency and tension of events going down in real time (begging comparisons to Elephant).

Hard-hitting and bleak with a hint of delusion. The movie was solid aside from the fact that at times they tried to make the main character sympathetic or even an antihero which didn't work for me at all.
