From a linguistic perspective, it is interesting to see how the word 'ninja,' introduced to Norway hundreds of years ago, has adopted the pronunciation 'ninya' to correspond with the local language rules; however, the word 'dojo,' only recently made popular with the influx of martial arts into the West, remains 'dojo' (and isn't pronounced 'doyo'). Oh, and the movie was pretty good, too. I protect my house with Feng-Shui in a similar manner.

Comedy that attempts to explain a couple of historical news stories from the 80s as part of a conspiracy involving a secret squad of Norwegian Ninjas working for King Olav. There's a bit of silliness, but most of the comedy is delivered with a straight face and is pretty subtle...much moreso than you'd expect after the wackiness of the trailer. Lots of cheesy models and effects, a few fun scraps and ninjas having a barbeque on the beach. What more could you want?

It's not a great film, it's probably not a good film but it is quite endearing. The film feels like a pastiche on Dr. Who style effects. Overall a good romp.
