Kubrick by Kubrick

Kubrick expressed himself bluntly and somewhat ambiguously, much like his better films, and there was no pretense about him. It is also clear that he controlled his public image of the great artist with clockwork (no pun) precision, and while this short documentary offers no new insights about the man or his work, it does compile and reassemble audio and visual footage in a relatively engaging way. Nonetheless, fans seeking real depth should look elsewhere.
