An unintentional documentary about a director who was trying to make a film about two famous rockstars but failed to get the cooperation of his subjects, couldn't get anyone important to talk with him, and ended up interviewing "zero credibility" scumbags and chasing their lunatic theories down dead ends and blind alleys. Stymied, he tries to salvage his footage into a saleable product. Entertaining in its way, as a film about its subjects it's an unmitigated disaster.

This was a complete waste of time. Broomfield doesn't pretend to be partial, blasting Love early and often for daring to be upset over being labeled a suspect in her husband's murder. No shit. I wouldn't mind the obvious bias if he had uncovered anything interest: he hasn't. Conjecture from doped up nobodies doesn't count. Things threaten to rise above tedium exactly twice and on the verge of a potentially explosive confrontation he drolly informs us, "the camera's battery ran out." Seriously.

doesn't make any startling revelations about the case. I really just liked this film just to see the places and people Kurt grew up with, and I'm sure other Nirvana fans will enjoy it for that, too.

Humorous just for the fact that it is so blatantly one sided.

what should have been a documentary of the life and death of kurt cobain is a documentary of how courtney love has people by the balls! not as entertaining more annoying if anything.

Although it doesn't probe too deeply, it nevertheless contains interesting moments.

Does better at stirring up a sense of controversy more than it does any actual conspiracy. The lack of Nirvana music (and the pointedness of it) gives the whole thing a slightly otherworldly feel due to the subject matter and it probably provides a fair bit of mood to cover all the times Nick Broomfield is walking into a building FOR THE BBC HELLO HI CAN WE FILM

This documentary isn't that great, however it is important it was made in the first place. More footage about that c-nt Courtney Love, who in my opinion orchestrated the murder of Kurt Cobain.

Wow - what a rotten, sorry-ass bunch of pox-ridden, sore-picking, sketched-out, incoherent "near Curt"s. A veritable scuzbagfest! That Nick Broomfield weasel needs the ol' 16-ton weight dropped on him. Cousin It probably would make a better journalist. When Courtney's fuzznuts of a dad said "it was the best of times, it was the worst of times" I almost did an Elvis on the TV. So - does El Duce go down for providing the ultimate "oops moment" of all time? Well, he DID go down. What a shitumentary

This film is interesting but it is very biased. A lot of the people interviewed in the film seem to be wasted in one way or another. I would recommend this film to any fans of Kurt Cobain.

Interesting enough, but completely one-sided.
