If you're anything like me, you're excited by the idea of discovering forgotten cinematic gems. While Blackmail occasionally looks like a diamond in the rough, it's actually closer to a cubic zirconia. The new-wave inspired cinematography kept things interesting, and I definitely enjoyed the antics of Shun and his gang of irreverent scamps, but the plot is incoherent and the ending falls flat. In all, not a bad way to spend a Monday night, but nothing to get really excited about.
