Terrible cash-cow that has nothing to do with the Death-Note movies.

My personal favorite of the three movies. I liked getting to know his character better. It was interesting to see him taken out of his comfort zone and how he dealt with it.

A sequel to the Death Note live action films, and a story spin-off. This one revolves entirely around L, played by Kenichi Matsuyama, who was easily the best character in the previous movies.

Japanese guys are well-known for making shitty live-action movies out of successful manga series. This can easily be said to be one of the worse ones. All characters are laughable, but additional laugh points for L and the two kids.

Absolute cheap non-sense. I would certainly have prefered that, even being not really Death Note related but focused on L, the thing was from one of his previous cases (for example the BB murders they talk about in the anime and that had a japanese novel made of it). That would have been better than this weird non-detectivesque virus thing that doesn't fit the series or L character.

While I enjoyed the 2 Death Note films this was a bit of a disappointment. The story was somewhat interesting but it all played out so slowly and without any tension. I was never really an "L" fan but I was still hopeful.
