It's interesting to see the genesis of Besson's visual ideas, and a couple of the early shots are somewhat striking, but there's really not much to this post-apocalyptic short. It devolves into two guys fighting to the death among the blasted ruins of a human city, and Besson's knack for staging exciting action sequences obviously hadn't developed yet. Still worth 11 minutes of your time if you're a fan of the director.

Generally boring but very visually striking. The ending is good for a laugh at least.

Interesting visuals and a super 80's soundtrack make it worth watching for fans of Besson. Other than that its a nothing script with some overburdened guys half-heartedly poking each other.

Life in the post-apocalypse, as in the State of Nature, is nasty, brutish & short. The characters' costumes/armour are somewhat interesting (a sort of Mad Max / steampunk hybrid); the plot & action scenes not so much. Soundtrack is suitably passe. Worth a watch. Thanks to my grade-school French, I can report that the title means "the Second-Last", which is pertinent to the plot, I guess.
