We get a fine image of Léone and Lulu sitting with Charlotte under a tree as an abandoned swing slows to a stop in the foreground, a gentle synopsis. Lulu's young enough to prefer "running around like crazies" for the summer as Charlotte hopes for a taste of reflected affection from shadowing a piano prodigy. Charlotte hits a screening of "The Exorcist" with merchant marine Jean, and their later globe-swatting exchange puts the adolescent cherry on top: "I want the one I can't have." Loved it.
