A really nice movie, some scenes were very funny - especially the ones taking place in school, that time was way cool back then. The music is extraordinarily good, and because of missing subtitles, I even improved my french a little!

This is a story centers around a beautiful divorced woman and her teenage daughter. The cast of characters include the daughters school friends, and offers a few snapshot into the daily lives of a small group of adolescent Parisians and their parents. Mature characters despite their frequent emotional outbursts. There is not so much a story here as there is a series of events that don't really amount to much. It was however somewhat pleasant to watch, but ultimately forgettable.

I make no excuses for adoring this film, perhaps because its depiction of the self-referential and self-important dramas of a French high school seemed so cloyingly, annoyingly real. I also found myself identifying (probably a little *too* closely) with many characters, including the spunky Lola and her mother (whose complex relationship is a joy to watch). The French glimpse into English culture is also a real hoot. Not essential viewing, but a good-hearted (albeit "first world") diversion.

It's like French Skins. French Skins were none of the kids have any redeeming features at all.

Goes through all the generic teenager conventions. Light and easy.

Another very generic French movie. The part in England was funny, though.
