La academia de las musas

Yeah, I'm sure this is rewarding both in terms of philosophical, academic debate as in its rewarding visual structure -- faces and words filtered by windows, with reflexes of streets, cars and people. I'm sure this is intelligent and provocative. But it also bothers me that in the end it's a movie that doesn't do much than scrambling pieces and discourses only to frame men as poets/teachers and women as muses. Again. I'd rather watch a La Academia de Las Musas directed by a woman.

This is not actually a feminist film as it only shows a slice of life of the twisted paradigm of todays academic world. Still it has its good moments and some of the conversations are really interesting (and some of them are infuriating).
