Lady Cocoa

I really liked Cimber's Candy Tangerine Man from the same year, which had some unique ideas and was able to rise above it's low budget origins. Same cannot be said of Lady Cocoa which is part odd couple comedy & part action. It could be argued whether it's a proper blaxploitation film, but I'd say it qualifies. There are some amusing scenes like a car chase inside a hotel, but in general it lacks the groove of better entries as might be obvious from hearing the first seconds of the title song.
