Lady Jane

Meh. I've seen this story told better with actors of lesser quality than this film boasts.

One of my favorite 80s films, even if it is a bit fictionalized and romanticized. Helena and Carey are wonderful in the lead roles.

This historic drama is about the protestant faithful daughter Lady Jane Grey, that is married of so that she could be eligable by her protestant faith and controled by her husband after King Henry VIII to be crowned ruling Queen of England. In actuallity she ruled only 9 short days because of her families rebellion and counterrebellions. She was beheaded later. This movie is a beautiful saga and perhaps how it happened. Helena Bonham Carter is fantastic as Lady Jane Grey.
