Lady Terminator

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed an absolutely terrible film so much. I note that this is from the mastermind who brought us Mystics in Bali, so I had high/low hopes for it. It's pretty much The Terminator (some scenes and lines are practically lifted straight from it), with all sorts of sundry 80s nonsense and pornographic mythological hijinks attached. Some of the scenes and dialogue beggar belief, frankly. A hoot.

It just got tedious with the constant gunplay and invincibility of the Lady Terminator. What makes Terminator good is that it was about the persistent and slow threat, the fact the good guys were outgunned, and there were breaks in the action. Here the body count is upped but not for the better. The good guys also have serious firepower. Finally, what is it with Djalil plucking random tourists as female leads? Fav scene: the sheer WTF of a serpent going into Lady Terminator.

One of the best bad movies of all time! Huge bodycount, hilarious dialogue and dubbing, one of the greatest mullets to ever grace the screen, a panzer tank that has difficulty ramming an Oldsmobile, gratuitous nudity, lasers, car chases -- everything you could ever want and more!

Indonesian rehash of Terminator, but with heavy mythological and black magic elements. An evil witch shoots a couple hundred people with a machine gun and has sex with a bunch of dudes (and the eel that lives in her snatch eats their cocks off, naturally). The story is pretty different, but the action scenes are all direct rips from Terminator, including the classic line "Come with me if you want to live." Tons of squibs, pretty average action.

I can't recommend this enough, it's a perfect rip off of The Termintor. It keeps the best elements with some tight action scenes along with some great nudity. The car chase was especially good and the shoot out at the police station was much harsher then the one in Termintor.

I've seen many bad movies in my life. But this brought me close to the edge... I'm not sure if this is the worst movie I've ever seen, but it's pretty close...

Hilarious cult film from Indonesia that takes the Terminator premise to new lows

This movie only works on the WTF level and I'm completely okay with that.

Everything in this is ludicrous and gratuitous nonsense, true to genre movie form, but like many favourites of mine, and other 'cult' enthusiasts, it finds a lot of poetic utility in its mostly plagiarised story. I have a dream of a beautifully synthetic cinema, where story is saturated by aesthetic content. While clearly artful, in some respect, there is never a tendency to be arty, or meditate too much around formalisms. Blade Runner and Blow Out are other films that here, I think, succeed.

the last 15 minutes transcend trash. no frills, unhinged chaos.
