A well-drawn classic animation from Disney. Severly overlooked and bashed for absolutely no reason. The Siamese Cat Song is retarded even after all of these years still. If they cut that out, easily 82.

"Okay, how many cultural stereotypes and fake accents can we cram into this kids' movie about dogs? Also, can we possibly give the central romance a creepy 'grizzled playboy+young innocent girl' vibe? Oh, and rats sneaking into babies' rooms and attacking them is a thing right?" This has most of the lovely animation and charm (see the constant dog POV) of its Disney siblings but its discomforting and/or puzzling elements (see the abrupt shift to happy epilogue) are too many to let slide.

Wow, the Siamese cats are racist caricatures if I ever saw one, but that aside I was pleased by this movie, the storyline is tight and concise and the romantic and dramatic pacing is just right. The characters (except the aforementioned cats) are all multi-dimensional and believable and Restaurant owner Tony probably has some of the funniest dialogue in Disney history.

Romantic atmosphere, sweet characters, gorgeous background art; a well-made little movie, nothing too special, but with a lovely heart.

Another Disney classic. Lady and the Tramp is a lovable movie. To me, however, the best part is the beginning, with Lady as just a puppy beginning to grasp her new home. There's little dialogue, only a few lines from the humans, but the dog's reactions are enough.

Watching Lady and the Tramp for the first time as an adult, it's an intriguing microcosm of its time that is still very watchable. Superficially cute, with charming animation, a good soundtrack that incorporates recognisable classical motifs, and a distinct Americana setting. Thematically it seems to present the virtues of a good nature, but half a century on looks more like the benefits of privilege. Most of the humour is derived from ethno-stereotypes, and sadly it works. On to the remake.

While this wasn't the first time I watched the film, it is my first time actually remembering it. It's a cute Disney classic and definitely a must watch for any child or adult who doesn't like to hide his inner child.

Still my favorite Disney movie. It has great songs, rich colors (the likes of which you just don't see anymore), and the cute little dogs kiss over a candle-light dinner.

Another old animated film that portrays cats as evil. I have no patience for that kind of racism, even if it's from a simpler time. The scene with Tony the cook is great though. The other redemption here is from the memorable musical numbers.

Just SO sweet and charming.. Relaxing, even, for much of the time. No belly laughs, but occasional gentle humor that makes me chuckle and endears it to me. When I was little, the Siamese cats and their song were one of my favorite parts.. Of course, that part didn't age well as I did, and now it makes me kinda uncomfortable. Like that scene, there was much of the movie that I didn't realize I didn't understand as a kid, and watching the movie as an adult was a different experience.

It's sexist beyond compare and I'm fully aware of that. Yet, it's also full of childhood memories, cute songs and even cuter characters. The hyenas and the beaver rule anyway. Can't help but love it. Sorry gender seminar...

The animation quality is 10 years ahead of its time;it is more comparable with the Disney stuff from 70s. But characters, plot, music are below average. Except the great Siamese twin cats gimmick it has nothing special in it.

Gloriously entertaining and beautifully animated Disney film is only bested by SLEEPING BEAUTY in the visual stakes - while certain plot elements and characterisations are unavoidably in keeping with 50s "mainstream" social mores, this doesn't dampen the fun, with both Lady and her Tramp beautifully realised (and lovable) protagonists. Largely music free as well! Only odd note - an unexpectedly tragic denouement which seems fixed by an overtly cheery epilogue!

Although there's nothing that stands out about this particular Disney film, it's a cute feel-good film with a more relaxed vibe and pace. However, it's not without its more touching and tension-packed scenes like any good Disney movie, though they're a little more downsized. Also, I do enjoy Lady's perspective on her owners' life and the human world. It makes for some cute and engaging scenes. Overall, it's a decent love story between our two loveable protagonists.

Maybe it's just because I prefer classic Disney to not be people, but I think I like this more than lots of the older Disney's. Also 69 because its appropriate for how much those dogs want to lick each other's genitals.

(2014-15 Disneython #9:) Very cute and charming. Of the first nine Disney films in my Disneython, I would have to call this the best, with stronger characterization and humor than the ones preceding it, and charming, lush animation. The Siamese cats are pretty damn stupid, but the rest is great.

With very likeable characters, great voice performances and a simple yet engaging plot, it's a canine love story that has stood the test of time for a reason. Its only major flaws are a pair of extremely racist moments, one involving Siamese twin cats and the other a very stereotypical chihuahua. Despite that, though, it has enough clever humor and heart behind it to be a worthwhile watch that should be mandatory viewing for any Disney fan.
