Land of the Blind

Very Good. Great political satire about a soldier who teams up with a revolutionary to overthrow a dictator. This movie cuts right to the heart of our current global norms, a society content with lesser evil than a brighter good. Great direction, production, well paced plot coupled with excellent performances by both Fiennes and Sutherland make this a must watch. Highly Recommended.

By the end of this movie you are left without the slightest understanding of what really happened. It would have been a much better movie without the last 30 minutes, at least up until then it made some sense. The basic theme is that absolute power corrupts absolutely. Performances were good, but the plot meandered into nonsense and surrealism. A sad ending for a movie that actually had a pretty decent message before being waylaid by the idiotic ending.

Animal Farm on steroids.

This movie attempts to be V for Vendetta, but falls well below, making silly mockerys of trite political and religious cliches. Also it attempts to create a twist and in doing so returns to the land of political correctness thus shooting out everything it was standing on.

Not bad, I'd rather watch 1984 again instead..
