Definitely finley's weakest. It's too all over the place and for such a fun premise (and just 100 minutes runtime) it feels oddly long. I think one could cut a "better" version out of it just with what's there, but don't hold me to it. Anyway, still better than most stuff that gets greenlit these days.

I give it props for going in a few interesting directions and the themes that it explores. It definitely has a brain, even if the ideas aren't totally fleshed out. Decent performances. I liked the artwork and the design of the aliens. But I still felt a little cold. It couldn't hit the emotional beats that it was clearly trying for. And outside of the few cool swerves, it's not the most entertaining movie. It's never boring, per se, but a lot more could have been done with this.

A very quirky kitchen sink send-up of late-stage capitalism. It's a tonal mess, and I wish the performances gelled a little better, but I was won over by the allegory, the humor, and the ever-evolving premise. Can't not enjoy a movie that takes wild, creative swings.

This is exactly the kind of mid-budget weirdo too-many-ideas sci-fi endeavor that I’m predisposed to like and admire even if it’s as much of a mess as this one is. I was consistently surprised by where this film went, and amused by its frequent absurdity. Corey Finley has quickly ascended for me as a talent to watch; I’ve liked all three of his films to date and they’re all wildly different from each other. I’m looking forward to whatever weird swing he has planned next.
