60.yaşına yeni girmiş, hayatını yalnız yaşayan, oğlu ile uzlaşamayan bir annenin öyküsü. İyi ile kötü arasında dolaşan bir karakteri oynayan Corinna Harfouch çok başarılı. Filmin sonunda, oğlunun eserini dinleyemeyen bir anneyi izliyoruz. Son piyano sahnesi ise mükemmel. Senin gibi hocanın ben dan dana dan, sol elim var ya dan dana dan, elini sıksın dan dana dan.

A heavy psychological drama which seems to bear the influence of Bergman, perhaps especially Autumn Sonata. Lara's personality is laid on very thick, and for a while it doesn't seem like the movie has much else to convey. Later, when other key characters come into play, the film provides more to chew on. It's well-directed, leveraging its greatest asset, the performances; but the connections it makes between interpersonal cause and effect are ultimately par for the course.
