L'atleta fantasma

Italy was early in the masked superhero game. The Phantom Athlete uses all the superhero tricks in the book. I wouldn't say the crime plots were all that intriguing. Instead it was the little action scenes where Mario Guaita-Ausonia got to flex his muscles and lift people like they were nothing that had the intensity to impress. There was a lot of similarities to the films the famous Houdini was doing around the same time. Gimmicky, but cool in a way, making the action a spectacle to behold!
