The surreal story doesn't always work all that well, but it has its moments and I like the film's look.

I have to finish an exam about Gogol for college so what better time to watch this short film than now? I liked how they captured his signature grotesque style, just weird and kinda creepy but also with a touch of humor. The animation is interestingly done, fits the vibe well.

Has an overly grungy and rough visual style that for me just made it ugly to look at. When in addition it seems to just be an incoherent mess of artistic nonsense it makes it hard to appreciate, even as a person who can appreciate artistic nonsense to a certain extent. No real entertainment value that I could see.

Not bad, but no big deal.
