It may be named after an 850-ton space station that famously spiralled out of control and hurtled back to Earth, but Le Skylab is a lightweight contraption that represents a confidently handled and shrewdly commercial fourth feature from writer-director-star Julie Delpy. (The Hollywood Reporter)

While it's no 'Two Days in Paris' - it seems unlikely Delpy will ever top that film - it is fun in a chaotic way. And it's always a pleasure to be in the presence of Albert Delpy.

Really lovely family dramedy directed by the always great Julie Delpy.

Pretty tiring movie that goes nowhere however redeems itself a bit in the end. I am not a big fan of message themed movies but the message was quite sweet. Not really much of comedy though and what was a standard length movie seemed like an eternity at times

Mabye the most annoying movie ever - and, as some kind of bonus, subliminimal pretty aggressiv against women.

I've generally enjoyed both Delpy's directing and acting work, but I just couldn't get into this. It's too random and contains too many characters who talk constantly about issues ranging from women's lib to war in Algeria, and becomes very tiresome after a while. I felt that the film lacked a focus and if there was a point, it was hidden beneath the white noise. Even the pending doom of falling Skylab station seemed wasted. At least the era was quite nicely reconstructed with appropriate music.
