Le Voyage sur Jupiter

An exquisitely-crafted, blatant Méliès imitation. Although in some respects it's better than the original, it's also a few years late to the party.

This was well made but the trip to the moon, here Jupiter is worn out by 1909.

One of those Chomón shorts where he shamelessly apes the style of Méliès's greatest hits. Most directors back then couldn't do that and come off looking good when it was over, but he certainly manages.
