Le départ d'Arlequin et de Pierrette (1900) Short Film
PIERRETTE'S ESCAPADES is a nice attempt at hand tinting, which doesn't tell much of a story but we see two women getting ready for something and eventually dancing around. The real reason to watch this short is for the hand tinting, which is pretty ugly by today's standards but I always love watching films that used this early technique. (imdb)

The hand coloring was nice but there's not much to it. There's just two ladies dancing badly and if you look close a stagehand or somebody slides something into the bottom right f the screen for a moment not sure what that was all about.
