Le père Noël a les yeux bleus

Despite it's relative obscurity, this feels like maybe one of the most quintessentially Nouvelle Vague films ever. It may be "minor" Eustache, but then again don't most films seem minor compared to something like The Mother and the Whore? His style here feels perhaps even closer to early Rohmer, albeit with an even more ruthlessly unsentimental outlook. Like Rohmer, Eustache is probably one of the greatest directors at portraying the inner workings of the heterosexual male psyche.
